Getting praised in Norway

§ 54. You shall praise others only when they aren’t there;

never tell the person directly

If you praise a Norwegian directly you may put them in a situation they do not know how to handle.

If you do something nice and you do not hear anything about it, you can be pretty sure that all Norwegians who saw you do this nice thing talk about it positively in your back.
