Norwegians might not have seen their friends for over a year
They want to show them how much they care
They will spend hours writing Christmas cards
Make it look beautiful
Put it into envelopes
Drive to their friends houses
Go up the front door stairs
…and leave the envelopes on the doorstep
Without ringing the doorbell
Without saying anything
They do not want to disturb
Norwegians politeness is about not disturbing others
Interactions are different
It does not mean that these people do not care about each other
Or that their are not good friends
