New Year's Eve the Norwegian way

Norwegians interact differently with alcohol

They smile

They eye-flirt

They can "accidentally" bump into someone at New Year's Eve

They look at each other

Three seconds of intense eye contact have past

Suddenly they feel this great connection

They do not really get the opportunity to talk

They do not need to talk either

They wake up somewhere on 1st January

They do not really remember how they got there

The hosts invite for breakfast

A week goes by

It is the weekend again

They meet to watch a movie

They still haven't been talking much

When the movie is over

It becomes romantic in the room

Repeat for 6 months

You are now a Norwegian couple

It is now time to have some conversations

One to one

"In some countries around the world

You spend months talking

And then realise you do not have sexual chemistry

In Norway

You spend months having sex

And then realise you do not have anything to talk about together"
