Father's Day
People around the world express their warm feelings towards their fathers
Norwegians are often subtle in their praise and careful in their expression of feelings
While in many countries we learn to express feelings openly from a young age
Norwegians often imply how they feel
Rather than saying it out straight
They may not have much facial expression
Not much body movement
Speech may be indirect
If you are used to a culture
Which uses a lot of facial expression
Body movement
Clear speech
When expressing feelings in a relationship
Norwegians may appear as lacking feeling
Norwegians do have feelings
They just express them differently
In their own subtle and indirect way
Make a conscious effort to interpret the expression of feelings in the perspective of the person who express them
This is valid when interacting with any culture
